I edited/cancelled an order, why wasn’t it sent immediately to the warehouse?

There are a number of possible answers to this question, and it all depends on your own specific combination of sales channels and logistics providers. The base operation of Prime Penguin is to do scheduled batches per sales channel or per logistics provider. This is a robust, if somewhat in-flexible, design that works for a majority of cases. However, there are exceptions:

  • If you cancel an order in Prime Penguin you are guaranteed that we will try to perform the cancellation in the warehouse immediately.
  • Some sales channels supports web-hooks, and in such cases Prime Penguin will register the cancellation/edit immediately, but will not immediately forward to the logistics provider.
